Mike Henneburger and Megan Bates were married in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday September 5th, 2015. The ceremony and reception were held at the Brooklyn Society for Ethical Culture wedding venue, right across from Prospect Park . . . and surrounded by beautiful brownstones!

This was our first wedding in Brooklyn and it was a very memorable one. The day was absolutely perfect! Not a thing went wrong. The weather was great, everyone showed up on time, the wedding party was a blast and from start to finish everything ran smoothly.

Rachel and I arrived a little early to make sure we knew where we were going . . . A couple days before we had to take three modes of transportation to go only a few miles. We were trying to meet up with Mike and Meghan at the Brooklyn Bridge for a mini engagement session . . . 2.5 hours later we finally met up. It was stressful in the beginning but it was so worth it! I didn't really consider not knowing what to do our first hour in the City independently, ever being a problem. By the time our week was up, we had the public transit system down . . . (drops mic and walks away . . . ) Anyway, the day was just great. Mike and Meghan really put a lot of themselves into the details. They handmade paper flowers for each guest as their seating chart. Mike is also a photographer and he printed his favorite shots from around the city and placed them around and vintage glass and watercolor flowers adorned the tables. Meghan free-cycled an old area rug to use at the alter! I loved the idea and it worked out great.

The couple had family and friends come in from all over the country. There was so much love and laughter in the air, it was impossible to have a bad time. There was great food, better conversation and an overflow of wine . . . which made our job easy. Thank you so very much for choosing Rachel and I to be there on your big day. We had a blast and felt so welcomed. xoxo - Jamie

Just a side note, Mike is the founder of Zero Platoon. Zero Platoon is an organization founded and staffed by veterans dedicated to bringing hope and encouragement to members of the U.S. armed forces who struggle with depression and other emotional and psychological issues that stem from the adaptation into military life. It's pretty cool, you should check it out. p.s. That is Mike's award winning image that pops up at the top of the ZP site!

Love. Love. Love.
